Roulette has been awarded $447,000 by the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President, Marty Markowitz that will be applied towards the acquisition of new audio and visual equipment for their new permanent space in Downtown Brooklyn.

Roulette has been awarded $447,000 by the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President, Marty Markowitz that will be applied towards the acquisition of new audio and visual equipment for their new permanent space in Downtown Brooklyn.

After seven years at their Greene Street location in Manhattan, Roulette will be relocating to a new hall in Brooklyn’s historic YWCA building. The space will include a greatly expanded theater that will accommodate upwards of 600 people, allowing for a significant augmentation of Roulette’s core programs and services. The first concert in this new space is scheduled for Spring 2011, following renovations that are currently in progress.

Other capital support comes from Mary Flagler Cary Charitable Trust, mediaThe foundation inc., Starborn Industries, Architecture Program, New York State Council on the Arts, Counterpoint Fund, New York Community Trust, and the 42nd Street Music Fund.
