Steve Reich Collection Acquired by Paul Sacher Foundation

Christmas comes early for the Reich-o-philes out there with enough discretionary cash on hand to travel to Switzerland. The Paul Sacher Foundation has entered into an agreement with Steve Reich to take over his musical archive, which will shortly be made accessible to scholars at the foundation’s premises in Basel. The collection covers Reich’s entire compositional catalog, as well as letters, sound recordings, manuscripts from various stages in the creative process, and many audio and program files.
