The Musical Fund Society celebrated its bicentennial in 2020 with four newly commissioned works by significant American composers and will present their world premieres with leading Philadelphia ensembles on May 1, 2022 at the Kimmel Center’s Perelman Theater. Tickets are available for purchase through the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society.

Roberto Sierra: Graffiti II w/ PRISM Quartet
Tania León: In the Fields w/ Curtis 20/21 Ensemble
Augusta Read Thomas: Magic Gardens w/ Rolston String Quartet (Astral)
Stephen Jaffe: Three Arcs (Chamber Concerto No.5) for flute, harp, guitar, percussion, strings, and female chorus w/ Network for New Music

The bicentennial celebration calls attention to the Society’s unique role in promoting, supporting and encouraging this rich musical legacy by providing vital opportunities to deserving composers, outstanding performing artists, and regional audiences.
