Stacy Garrop Awarded the 2018 Barlow Prize

The Barlow Endowment for Music Composition at Brigham Young University has announced that Stacy Garrop has been awarded the $12,000 Barlow Prize for 2018 to compose a major new work for reed quintet. After reviewing a total of 159 submissions from 18 countries, the judging panel has also granted Takuma Itoh of Honolulu, Hawaii, the distinction of Honorable Mention.
